Dali · old town, Xiaguan or lakeshore

The old town is useful for meals and walks; Xiaguan serves a different city and station area. A lakeside village can suit a slower stay but adds connections. Shuanglang is on another part of the lake from the old-town side. Compare the exact pin and return options before choosing a room for its view.

Lijiang · Dayan, Shuhe or Baisha

Dayan places you near the central old-town walks. Shuhe and Baisha have their own surroundings and require different transfers. Ask where a car can stop, how luggage reaches the room and whether stairs are involved. Check evening noise as well as the courtyard photograph.

Shangri-La · comfort at a higher stop

For Dukezong, compare the inn’s actual lane with the vehicle meeting point. Prioritise reliable heating, hot water and room access that suits the group. A convenient edge-of-town location may work better than a room reached by several stepped lanes. Confirm meals and pickup for the next outing.

Lugu Lake · name the village

Daluoshui is a useful starting reference on the Yunnan side, but the exact property still matters. A lake-view listing may require a different road approach or luggage walk. Verify the currently operating property, room, heating, meals and transfer access; avoid assuming that an old photograph confirms today’s accommodation.
